Car Rental at Bob Hope Airport (BUR)

Every host sets their own service area, and Burbank Airport has its own rules about where cars can change hands, so it's worth pinning down the meeting spot before you fly out. In practice, that often means connecting just outside the airport, at your hotel, or at another place you've both agreed on rather than right at the terminal curb. Sort out the particulars ahead of time — where you're meeting, the timing, the ID you'll bring, how the car gets inspected, and any delivery fee. Because the handoff has to match your landing, pass your flight details to the host as early as you can.

This part of Los Angeles rewards a striking arrival — the studios, the premieres, the canyon roads, and the Hills all make an eye-catching car worth it, and this is where our marketplace pulls ahead of a rental desk. The standard fleets rarely keep supercars on the lot; our hosts do. Depending on who's listing, you can line up options by make and body style, from an open-top cruiser for Mulholland to a statement car for a studio event or a night out. If you've settled on a brand, jump to that collection; otherwise the exotic and luxury categories will show what's live near BUR for your dates.

One of the best reasons to have your own car here is how close everything sits. The studios are right on the doorstep — the Warner Bros. tour and the Universal Studios complex are minutes from the terminal, and downtown Burbank's shops and restaurants are close by. Over the hill, Hollywood, Griffith Park and its observatory, and the Los Angeles Zoo are a short drive, while the Valley's neighborhoods spread out to the west. Push a little farther and the options open up: Pasadena and the Rose Bowl to the east, the beaches at Santa Monica and Malibu to the west, and downtown LA a straight run south when you've got the car for the week.

Plenty of travelers would rather have the car turn up where they're staying than deal with the terminal. Our hosts regularly drop off at Burbank and Glendale hotels for a quick handover once you land, as well as at properties across the Valley, Hollywood, and downtown LA, along with studio lots and event venues. When you book, share your hotel or venue address so the host can confirm it's inside their delivery zone and settle on a time.

There's no flat answer — the total rides on the car itself, your dates, how long you keep it, how far it travels to reach you, and how busy things are, so an everyday sedan and an exotic sit at very different price points. Big events, weekends, and holidays nudge rates upward, and mileage caps, delivery charges, deposits, taxes, and platform fees all factor into the number you see. Since our hosts set their own rates, comparing listings side by side is the practical way to find an affordable option for your trip. The dependable way to price it out is to enter your exact dates and pickup spot and look at live listings, since any fixed rate goes out of date as the inventory turns over.
